The Story

Sugar Mama’s Sweet Shop was born during a season of big feelings, even bigger questions, and a very real need for comfort.

Shortly after I moved to Sweden from Canada in 2021, my father suddenly passed away. I found myself far from home, grieving, and wondering what in the world I was meant to do next. So I did the only thing that made sense at the time: I turned on the oven and started baking.

Somewhere along the way, the kitchen stopped being a coping mechanism and started feeling like confidence. I got better, I got bolder, I started sharing, and eventually, I realised I didn’t want to keep this joy to myself.

And this is how Sugar Mama’s Sweet Shop was born.

Today, Sugar Mama’s Sweet Shop is where that story lives on. It’s where joy is baked into every slice and shared in celebration. It’s for the big moments, the small wins, and the unapologetic treat-yourself days.

Every cake, cupcake, and cookie is made with intention, love, and a deep belief that life is better when dessert is involved.
