Our Story

Sugar Mama’s Sweet Shop is not your typical story. It wasn’t born in a kitchen of sunshine and rainbows, but through the search of happiness and fulfillment in this ever-evolving journey we call life.

Right after I moved to Sweden in 2021, my father suddenly passed away. I abruptly found myself lost in the wake of his death, wondering: “What does this all mean?”. Struggling to find a place in my new reality, I took to baking to help ease my anxieties. It soon became my refuge, a sacred space where memories of my dad harmonized amongst old recipes and baking techniques. He, a culinary maestro in his own right, had posthumously ignited within me a passion for the culinary arts. And through my tiny little kitchen, I found a bridge to connect to his spirit. This connection, coupled with the art of creating, breathed new purpose into my soul, and I discovered a renewed sense of hope and healing.

Now, as the founder of Sugar Mama’s Sweet Shop, I aim to carry forth the legacy of my father's love for food. Through my creations, I hope to bring not only sweetness to the palate but also nourishment for the soul. With each slice of cake shared and every cookie eaten, I aspire to spread the transformative magic of baking, inviting others to savor life's simple pleasures and embrace the beauty of self-care.
